Date

The Honorable Andrew M. Cuomo Governor
of New York State NYS State Capitol Building
Albany, NY 12224

Dear Governor Cuomo,

I am writing to you to voice my dissatisfaction with both you, and your Attorney General, Barbara
Underwood.
As you know, currently, New York State does not allow small businesses to act in unison when
purchasing health care coverage. It subjects all small business owners to severe restrictions,
limited access to networks and plans, and higher pricing.
I am writing to ask you to stop your Attorney General from blocking President Trump’s Executive
order allowing trade associations to negotiate with the health insurance companies directly and to
become law in New York State. My trade association, The Long Island Gasoline Retailers association
(LIGRA) would qualify under this order. This will allow me and others to save thousands of dollars
on our ever- increasing costs of health insurance.
Unfortunately, blocking this executive order, forces my business to pay higher premiums for health
insurance. In turn, I have no choice but to pass these costs on to my customers, the VOTING public,
through higher prices for their automotive repairs and service.

I will now have to post a sign that states part of the reason for the rising high cost of repairs
and service is thanks to Governor Cuomo’s over regulation,
and anti-small business practices.

Sincerely,
